What is a Whitespace Cleaner?
Text copied from PDFs, spreadsheets and terminals arrives with trailing spaces, double spacing and stray blank lines that break diffs, imports and formatting.
Three independent fixes: trim edges, collapse runs of spaces, drop empty lines: apply in one pass, locally.
Frequently asked questions
Does it touch tabs?
Collapse mode treats runs of spaces and tabs as one space. Trim mode removes both from line edges.
Will it break code indentation?
Trim and collapse will flatten leading indentation: for code, use only “remove empty lines”.
Can it fix Windows/Unix line endings?
Output uses standard \n line endings, which every modern editor accepts.
Is the text uploaded?
No: cleaning is local.
