About the studio
BitsSolved helps startups and growing software companies design, build and scale reliable SaaS platforms. It is a software studio in Tamil Nadu, India. The team is small, senior and remote, which is why the person who scopes your platform is the person who writes the code.
The studio is new. The engineering behind it is not: it is run by people who were building and shipping software for other companies long before this one existed. We build and run SaaS products of our own, MenuFly, KeyNesta and a free tools platform, so we would rather you judged us from products you can open and use today.
Client work so far includes a rooftop solar website and a website for a wedding card printer, which are not software businesses. We are an engineering team rather than an industry specialist, so what carries across is the foundations of a platform: accounts, tenancy, billing, APIs, dashboards and integrations.
What you are left holding.
The fair question about a small studio is what happens to your system if we stop answering the phone. Here is the list, written down rather than implied.
The source code, in your repository
Your GitHub or GitLab organisation, from the first commit.
The servers, in your account
Your cloud account, your VPS, your billing. We deploy to it; we do not own it.
The domain and the DNS, in your name
Including the certificates and the mail records.
The app store listings, under your accounts
Leaving a studio should never cost you your listing, your reviews or your users.
The database, and a restore you have seen work
Backups are worth what the last successful restore proved.
The right to stop
Each phase is quoted on its own. Stop after any of them and keep everything built to that point.
How an engagement runs.
The same four steps for a website fix and for a multi-tenant platform. Nothing is chargeable before a written quote.
Discovery
A working session on your product and its architecture, written up as scope, screens and a fixed quote for the first phase. Nothing is chargeable before that document exists.
Build in the open
Working software you can open while it is being built, instead of a status report, so the brief can change while changing it is still cheap.
Launch
Deployment with monitoring, backups, TLS and security headers, on infrastructure the client owns.
Scale
A maintenance window for fixes, monitoring and improvements, or a full handover to your own engineers with documentation. You can stop after any phase and keep everything built so far.
Tell us what you need built.
The first call is free and is mostly us asking questions. After it you get the scope in writing and a fixed quote for the first phase.
