SaaS Architecture Review

An independent audit of a live SaaS: what is sound, what is at risk, and what to fix first.

See What You Get

Find the risks before your customers do.

BitsSolved is a software studio in Tamil Nadu, India that runs independent SaaS architecture reviews for founders and CTOs, ranking security, data, infrastructure and scaling risks and giving a plan to fix them. A SaaS that grew fast carries decisions made under pressure: tenancy, access control, backups, deploys. Most of them hold. A few will fail at the worst moment, and nobody on the team has time to look.

You may need a review if

  • An enterprise buyer sent a security questionnaire you cannot answer with confidence
  • The same production incident keeps coming back
  • Nobody has tested restoring a backup
  • One engineer understands the deploy, and they are busy
  • Technical due diligence is coming with a raise or a sale
  • The cloud bill grows faster than the customer count

What the engagement includes.

  • A ranked findings report

Each finding with its severity, why it matters to the business and the recommended fix, in the order to do them.

  • What is working

The parts that are sound, written down, so nobody spends money rebuilding them.

  • A remediation plan

Fixes grouped into phases your team can schedule, with quick wins apart from structural work.

  • A walkthrough

A session on the findings with you and, where you want it, your developers.

  • Answers you can reuse

Notes for the questions buyers and investors ask about security, backups and access.

The first call is free and is mostly us asking questions.

Your existing development team stays in place. The review works alongside them.

Case study: in development

The questions a review asks, on our own platform.

The HR Platform is a multi-tenant product BitsSolved is building. These are the decisions a review checks first: who may act on whose data, and whether the history can be trusted.

  • Authorise the subject, never trust the request

Every action names the employee it concerns, and the platform resolves whether the caller may act on that employee rather than accepting the identifier the request supplied. It sounds pedantic until you notice that the alternative lets anybody file a record against anybody. The same principle puts the tenant in the signed token rather than in the hostname, so a request cannot reach into another employer by asking nicely.

  • An audit entry written in the same transaction

The history is committed with the change rather than logged after it. A record that exists therefore has a trail by construction, and there is no failure mode where the change lands and the history does not.

A fixed price, quoted in writing after the scoping call, because the size of the codebase and the infrastructure decide the work. Nothing is chargeable before you approve the quote.

Read-only access to the repository, the cloud console and the monitoring is usually enough. The review changes nothing in production, and access can be removed the moment it ends.

No. The review is independent of who builds the product. Your team keeps the work, and we stay available to answer their questions about the findings.

It can prepare the engineering side: access control, logging, backups, change management and the evidence an auditor asks for. BitsSolved holds no SOC 2, ISO 27001 or HIPAA certification and cannot certify you. An accredited auditor does that.

Architecture, data, security and operations carry across languages and clouds. The studio builds its own products in Go and React, so code-level depth is greatest there. If part of your stack is outside what we know well, we say so before quoting.

Your team can work through the plan on its own, we can help with the fixes as a modernization engagement, or stay on as a fractional CTO. None of that is required.
